40 YEARS!!!!!!!

We celebrated our 40th Wedding Anniversary today. Whoda thunk it... Never dreamed we would ever make it to forty years considering we weren't spring chickens when we got married... But we made it. Hoping for another 40... Okay, that may not be too realistic. But at least another 15-20???? Our celebration was a bit unique...We sold corn in the morning, talked about what transpired lo, those many years ago...Went out to lunch and one of us got a gorgeous present. That would be me! I received a pair of gorgeous cultured pearl earrings. Absolutely lovely. Poor Dad got lunch - at McGraths. Not even a close second to Red Lobster, but we thought we would give it a try. Glad we said those "I dos" - we created four fantastic children from whence has come (soon to be 16 darling) grand children. How lucky can we get? Little did we realize the great legacy we would have. . . Thank you dear children and grand children for making us happy old duffers - this day - and every day. Love, Mom and Dad
