FAITH

Kerri and I went to the Mall to get haircuts the day after I arrived in VA. She wanted to be hair-ready when the new baby came and I need to get cleaned up as it were. Ruby and I went for a stroll while Kerri was getting her hair cut and managed to get back to the beauty parlor just as Kerri was finishing up and it was there that we had a FAITH promoting experience.

Just as I walked up to the front of the salon, out from a store walked a dog. Not an ordinary dog mind you. A very special dog. This dog had not front legs, no appartus to assist her chore of walking. There she was - walking on her two hind legs. Her owners said her name was FAITH and they had just returned from Walter Reed Hospital where Faith promotes her skill at getting around, and hopefully giving some Faith and Hope to the patients there that get to meet her. Her little "jacket" said, "Please pet me, I love it" so of course we did and so did everyone who happened upon her. Her tongue was hangin on out. Walking on hind legs is a hard job. Her owner picked her up so we could pet her better and methinks that pup need a lift as well. It was quite a lovely experience. Conjured up some deep thoughts and feelings. Wish you could have met this special little bundle fo Faith as well.
